The famous forest of Lailia, with its beeches and firs, is 25 km from the town of Serres. Its ski center, located at an altitude of 1,600 meters, has a 1,000-meter track, a lift and a beautiful ski pavilion. It is worth visiting, any time of the year.
AGGITI CAVE
The Aggitis river emerges from the Mara cave in the Prefecture of Serres and continues its route to the borders of the Prefecture of Serres. At a short distance from the Alistratis cave, there is the 15-kilometer long river gorge where the rock paintings that testify to the existence of communities of people in the 5th and 6th centuries are characteristic on its slopes. The river is suitable for rafting and hiking on its natural paths, which start from the villages of Symboli, Lefkothea and Agistas Station.
