Leaving Katavati for Vathi at a distance of about one kilometer, we come across the Monastery of Firogion. The excellent repair of the old monastery in 1978 was rewarded with the award of an honorary Europa Nostra Diploma. In the past, the monks from the Prophet Elias monastery used it for wintering. Today, the premises of the oven, the olive press and some cells are preserved.
