It is located between the village of Tripodes and the beach of Plaka. The date of its foundation has not been ascertained, however the prevailing opinion is that it was built in the Hellenistic years. Folk tradition states that a fortune teller - queen lived in the tower. The towers of the Hellenistic period are considered to have served to protect positions of a military or economic nature in the countryside, or functioned as phryctoria, while according to another view they served as a farmhouse or part of a farmhouse.
