The complex of Six Churches is located on a hill near the village of Panagia, on the road to Poli. It is said that 6 fairies lived in this location, which, with the gradual construction of the temples, disappeared, thus ridding the area of "evil" spirits. According to another version, in the place of the temples there was an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Nymphs (Nymphaeum). Architectural elements from earlier early Christian basilicas are preserved in the precincts as well as inside the temples. The wooden icons and icons inside the churches date back to around the 18th century. The 6 churches were dedicated to 6 different Saints: church of Agios Charalambos, the Great Anthony, Agia Kara (Apotome of the Holy Forerunner), Agia Barbara, Agios Ioannis and Agios Nikolaos (archbishop of Myron of Lycia and Miracle Worker).
