(Agia Sophia Street - Consul Koromilas Street). It is also housed in one of the most important and historical neoclassical buildings of Thessaloniki, the work of the architect Ernestos Tsiller. The building was built at the expense of the national benefactor Andreas Syggrou, immediately after the fire of 1890 that destroyed part of the center of old Thessaloniki. Until the liberation of the city (1912) it was used as the General Greek Consulate of Thessaloniki and was the center of the Macedonian Struggle (1904 - 1908), especially when Lambros Koromilas was consul.
Documents from the Macedonian Struggle, relics of fighters (among them personal items of Pavlos Melas, Metropolitan Germanos Karavangelis), costumes of Macedonian fighters, weapons, documents, maps, photographs, portraits of fighters, representations of battles and scenes from the fight, newspapers of the time etc. .l.p.
