The Cemetery of Agios Georgios is located in the area of Neapolis, Ermoupoli. Its oldest part is an open museum, as it contains a multitude of funerary monuments (temples, statues, busts, monuments, coffins, columns, urns,) in an idyllic setting, adorned with a multitude of reliefs and engraved representations, inspired by ancient tradition and according to the current of Classicism, which dominates at this time in Europe. These works are orders of the elite members of society and testify to their economic surface. The neighboring cemeteries, the Catholic and the British, are also important.
