Kalymnos

VOUVALI MANOR

It is located next to the Archaeological Museum, in the district of Agia Triada in Pothia. This is the house of the family of Nikolaos Vouvalis, the largest sponge merchant and benefactor of Kalymnos. The Vouvali Mansion (mid to late 19th century) has three floors and is a typical example of neoclassical island urban architecture in Kalymnos. Here the visitor can admire the central European household equipment of the mansion.

Household items of the mansion are displayed in three rooms (office, dining room, living room), which are furnished and decorated with furniture and objects used by the wealthy 19th century residents.
