It is a women's Monastery, near the city's airport, founded in 1945 by a royal decree by the Metropolitan of Servia and Kozani Kon. Back (1945-1957). It functioned as a Monastery, in the place of an older church of the Ascension of the Savior, with 3 nuns until 1957, when it was abolished and belonged to the Monastery of Agios Antonios (Siapkas). In 1958, the abbess of the Monastery ad. Magdaleni founds an institution called the Holy Women's Sanctuary "Analipsis" of Kozani, which becomes a shareholder of the Dionysios Monastery of Mount Athos. The monastic complex includes several two-story buildings such as monks' cells, guest houses, handicraft and weaving workshops. The central entrance to the site is arched, while a three-story turret rises to the side. The church of the Ascension, in a tile shade, is three-aisled with a dome and a sloping roof. There is also a vaulted chapel in a blue hue. The Monastery is famous for the textiles and embroideries made by the nuns themselves (tel. 24610 34638).
