DIRO CAVES
One of the most important natural attractions of Greece. Their existence has been known since 1900. They were first explored in 1950 by the Petroheilou couple.
The caves are called Vlychada, Alepotrypa & Katafygi.
The Vlychada cave is one of the most beautiful lake caves in the world.
Its total area is 33,400 sq.m. of which 5,000 sq.m. have been explored. & 2 million year old animal fossils have been found.
The temperature in the interior varies from 16 - 20 C & in the water 12C. A boat tour among the dreamy stalactites & stalagmites will be deeply etched in your memory.

Starting from the Municipality of Asopou, one can also visit other places, such as: Elafonissos, Neapoli, Monemvasia, Geraki, the caves of Dirou and Mystra.
PALEOKASTRO
It is located on the provincial road Papadianikon-Daimonia and the ascent to it is by stone steps. In it there are ruins of fortifications and in the past it was used as a refuge for the inhabitants of the area during pirate and Turkish attacks. It is a wonderful place and suitable for nature lovers. The view from there is amazing. One can distinguish Glyfada, Boza, Asopos and in general the entire Laconic gulf.
ANCIENT WRECK IN LIMENI
Ancient Shipwreck in LimeniThe Shipwreck at Limeni belongs to the Early Roman Era. The area of ​​the wreck was approximately 150 square meters.
Its cargo consisted of amphorae.
The shipwreck has already been captured, it is of the same period and the same size ship as the counterpart of Antikythera. Part of the cargo still remains at the bottom to this day.
Equipped with a mask and a respirator, everyone will be able to see it in its natural habitat, something almost mythical.
