The castle of Araklovos is a medieval castle and is located near Paliokastro, in the Municipality of Gortynos.
Its name has been associated with the feudal lord Doxapatris Voutsaras who from there faced the Franks during the Fourth Crusade. There is a legend that the daughter of Doxapatris committed suicide by falling from the castle into the Alfeios River.
