Traces of a Mycenaean cemetery have been discovered near the village of Paleochori and at the site of Mikri Tourla. In particular, two coffins and a vaulted tomb from the Mycenaean period have been discovered. It is considered certain that there was a settlement in the area from the same period. Interesting finds were found at the site of the tombs, mainly ceramics from the Mycenaean and Late Mycenaean periods.
