Kastri is located in the north-east of the coastal settlement Emporios, it is a small ancient fortress, to which the inhabitants of the neighboring areas must have taken refuge in times of need. From his position he could supervise the surrounding area, especially the sea area and the port of Emporio. From the study of the masonry of the wall and its towers and the surface pottery samples, Kastri is dated to the end of the 4th - beginning of the 3rd century BC. The buildings inside the fort are preserved in a state of foundations. Of these, a narrow building stands out, which used to be an olive press.
