Spata (Zagani hill)
Fortified citadel on a strategic hill that controls the plain of Spata. It dates back to the transition from the Neolithic to the Proto-Hellenic era (3500 - 3200 BC) and has a strong wall. The entrance to the settlement was reinforced with a tower and the houses had rectangular rooms built next to each other.
In the area of Spata, Mycenaean chamber tombs with rich finds (14th - 13th centuries BC) have been investigated.
