TSEPI - PROTHELLENIC CEMETERY
About 2.5 km from the Museum, towards the present-day village of Marathon, is the imposing Protelladian (3000 BC - 2300 BC) cemetery at Tsepi with many box-shaped graves in rows, some rectangular others circular with front opening which were closed with stones, in which the dead were placed in a timid posture. The area is housed with a state-of-the-art imposing construction that allows a circular and panoramic view of the cemetery.
