It is a lake settlement of 5000 BC. approx., located on the southern shore of Lake Orestiada, in the village of Dispilio. The settlement was discovered by chance in 1932 when the lake level dropped enough.
It is a settlement with wooden huts built on wooden platforms (stilt settlement) in the lake.
