On the eastern side of the island, near the Kalamos area, is the Monastery of Agios Ioannis, which belongs to private individuals. It is a new construction placed in the 20th century. The entrance to the site is through a three-story bell tower with arches and a triple spire. The building complex consists of the church of Agios Ioannis, ground floor buildings (guesthouses) and spacious courtyards with benches (for visitors). The church is white, in Cycladic style, with a triangular facade and a bell tower at the entrance. Inside it has a wood-carved, white iconostasis partially gilded. The Monastery celebrates on August 29.
