The Cultural Center was founded on July 6, 1986 and inaugurated on September 9, 1992. It is housed in the house where Alexandros Moraitidis, philologist and writer (1850-1929), cousin of Papadiamantis, also known as the Andronikos monk, lived in the last years of his life. The Cultural Center consists of two floors and a mezzanine with a total area of 300 sq.m. Festive events, lectures, speeches and workshops of various interest are held in these places. There is also a branch of the School of Byzantine Music/Psaltic Art " PRIEST PAULOS THE SKOPELITIS.", a foot choir and a lending library. The Center has a large collection of folklore objects, traditional costumes, textiles, furniture, agricultural and shipbuilding tools, ancient marbles, ecclesiastical objects...etc.
