It is housed in the Monastery of Evangelistria and is considered the only one of its kind in the Greek territory. It hosts 500 exhibits from the collection (1600 pieces) of Anna Deligiannis, who since the 70s had collected musical instruments from various parts of the world. These are traditional instruments - strings, percussion, wind instruments - made of various materials and with names unknown to the general public. Some instruments originating from Africa, made from corn leaves or from Humanitarian Aid boxes, are distinguished by their simplicity and originality. Among other things, the Museum's showcases display Indian sitars, signboards, war trumpets, traditional dulcimers, didzeridoos, tablas, reed syringes...etc.
