In the picturesque community of Richia (Reichia) Laconia, located on a mountain-enclosed plateau of Parnon at a distance of 20 kilometers east of Molae, the Georgios and Panagiotas Belesi Foundation and with the contribution of American residents and expatriates created the Folklore Museum, with the aim of to record and promote the rich folk tradition and cultural heritage of the region.
For this effort, the Georgios and Panagiotas Belesi foundation was awarded by the Academy of Athens.
There are many and remarkable exhibits in the Folklore Museum of Rihia such as: Traditional agricultural implements, husbandry tools, wine presses, looms, well-designed textiles, embroideries, capes, many household agricultural and husbandry utensils and tools as well as photographs of the old inhabitants of Rihia.
