I was born on 11-3-77 in Berlin, West Germany to immigrant parents. I lived and grew up in the Gardens of Kavala until I was 18 years old. From a very young age I showed my love for the arts. I studied music, took up singing and painting. at the age of 16, as a high school student, I took part in a competition organized by the Ministry of Education in the schools of the country where I won the first prize. It was the same time that I accidentally fell into my hands photos of wax models from the famous London museum, Madame Tussaud. I was impressed by how a lifeless material like wax can look so alive, With only supplies my love for creation started and I to know this art. I toiled, trained and with great difficulties completed my first wax work, the effigy of Michael Jackson. I was 16 years old. The surprise for me was great and the process enchanted me. The effigy of the late Jenis Karezis followed. In March 1999, for the first time, I presented my work to the general public, participating in a group exhibition in Kavala. But I was always anxious to know all the secrets of the art of these effigies, I turned to those whose works inspired me to take up the art of wax, at Madame Tussaud. They generously offered help by answering questions I had. A special honor and joy for me. Now using other means I had a better result in less time. Trying the new techniques for me, I created my own wax figure in 2002. In January 2003, my first personal exhibition with wax figures and paintings took place at Megaro Billy in Thessaloniki. In January 2007 I presented my works in Athens at the spiritual center of the Municipality of Athens. In November 2008, I participated, with the wax figure of Aliki Vougiouklakis, in an exhibition organized by Yiannis Papamichail with authentic costumes of the late actress. The most recent exhibition of my works took place in July 2009 in Kavala at the municipal Gallery of Philippi, which was the harbinger of the event of the current operation of the museum. What was a dream and life goal for me, has now become a reality. After a lot of effort, toil, iron will and above all love and passion for creation. Thank you to all of you who, by visiting the museum, become fellow travelers and supporters of my own dream.
