The Vine and Wine Museum of Naoussa presents the history of viticulture and wine production in the region of Naoussa from the 17th century to the present day.
The aim of the museum is to present the important position of viticulture and winemaking in Naoussa, its evolution over time and the smooth transition from its traditional to its modern form.
The nature of the museum is educational. It is addressed to all those who are interested in wine and in particular the wine of Naoussa. The objects on display are all old objects of viticulture and wine production from the area of Naoussa. The exhibition concludes with the presentation of the modern organized wineries of the region, providing the visitor with a clear picture of the importance of the modern winemaking activity in Naoussa.
The Museum belongs to the Municipal Cultural Organization of Naoussa and is housed on the ground floor of the traditional building of Ioannou Boutaris - the first organized winery of Naoussa (1908).
