The Museum of Marble Crafts of Tinos is housed in modern, fully equipped facilities, which make it an essential destination for every visitor. In the Museum, the technology of marble, a material that played a primary role in the architecture and art of Greece from ancient times to the present, is presented, as well as a detailed presentation of the tool equipment. The exhibition includes a variety of original works in marble, plaster replicas, quarrying and marble-working tools, mechanical equipment, archival material, as well as the richest collection of drawings of ancient marble sculptors in Greece. Visitors also have the opportunity to learn about traditional techniques and processes that go from the raw material to the finished work.
