Outside the village of Fryni, 4 km from the town, is the Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni where the Museum of Ecclesiastical Art is housed. At the northwest end of the Monastery, in a newly built two-story building, the Museum has been operating since 2006, where various objects of ecclesiastical art are exhibited from the period of the Turkish occupation (1479-1684) until 1864 (Incorporation of Lefkada into the Greek State). On the ground floor, the history of the island is presented in banners and information is given on the local architecture and painting. In showcases and showcases, portable images from the post-Byzantine era, mostly by Heptian painters, wall paintings - with the most important one of Odigetria from Apolpaina -, manuscripts and old prints in rare editions (from the libraries of the monasteries of the island) as well as elements of icons (doors, bread boxes) are exhibited. . Paintings of the 19th-20th centuries and the Collection of church robes, embroideries and utensils (chalices, crosses...) are presented on the first floor. There is also a section of works dedicated to the Metropolitan of Lefkada and Agia Mavra Grigorio Aravani.
