In the village of Acharavi of the Municipality of Thinalia, on the north side of the island, opposite the Roman bath, is the Folklore Museum. Housed in a privately owned building of 1000 sq.m. of Spyros Vlachos, creator of the Folklore and Historical Society of North Corfu. The Museum was inaugurated in 2008 with the aim of preserving, promoting and highlighting the island's cultural heritage. The permanent Collection is exhibited in 2 rooms and includes photographs of traditional occupations, books, documents (from 1862), costumes (from 1800) and coins (from the period of the Ionian State). The traditional oil mill, the carpentry, the shoe shop, the blacksmith shop, the interior of the Corfu house (with the loom, the chamber, the kitchen), the water mill and the church are represented in the Museum.
