At the northern end of the medieval town of Rhodes, is the Archaeological Museum. Its construction began in 1440 and it is housed in the Hospital of the Knights which is one of the most impressive buildings of the Medieval City. In this two-story building, there are important exhibits that make the tour exciting. The visitor can see, among others, burial ensembles from ancient Ialyssos, burial ensembles from Ancient Kamiro, a collection of sculptures from the archaic, classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods, mosaic floors from the Hellenistic era from the city of Rhodes and others from the early Christian era from Karpathos, tombstones of the Chivalric period with relief representations of the dead or their emblems and many other interesting exhibits.
