It is located in the old town of Rhodes, inside the church of Panagia tou Kastro, near the Myloni gate.
The Byzantine Museum is housed inside the church of Panagia tou Kastro or Panagia tis Niki as it is otherwise called. The museum includes portable icons from the Late Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Era, among which the double-faced icons of Panagia Odigetria, placed in the middle of the 14th century, are of particular importance.
Pieces of frescoes, such as that of Agios Zacharias Chalkis, from the end of the 14th century, are also on display.
