The Archaeological Museum of Kastellorizo has been housed since 1984 in "Konaki" which is part of the medieval Castle of Ag. Nikolaou, in fact, the cannon embrasures on the west and north sides are also preserved. It is located in the "Kavos" district and is a two-story building, the ground floor of which dates back to the years of the Knighthood, while the first floor is a 19th century addition, during the Turkish period, when it was the seat of the Turkish commander, which is why it has the name "Konaki".
On the ground floor are exhibited sculptural architectural members from the early Christian period, stone anchors and amphorae collected from the sea as well as uniform and accessories of the diving suit.
The floor consists of four rooms. In the first, finds from ancient Megisti are exhibited (inscriptions, tombstones, Lycian-type reliefs, tombstones, vases and sherds, lamps, amphorae, sealed amphorae handles, the trunk of a marble statue of Health, and a fragment of a Roman sarcophagus).
