On the northern side of Chora and at a distance of 5 km from the center of the town of Skiathos, is the monastery of Agios Charalambous. The exact date of its establishment is not known to us. However, it is known that it was renovated in 1809, while the iconostasis and its icons date from 1822. the well-known Skiathos short story writer Alexandros Moraitis lived in this monastery during the last period of his life.
