It is located 14 km west of Nea Zichni, near the village of Toumba. In this place there was an older church of the Holy Trinity which was destroyed after the desolation of the village due to cholera. This is a male Monastery that was founded, after the revelation of the miraculous icon, during the years of Abbot Athanasios Patsadas (1884-1891). His grave is behind the holy step of the temple. The first church was built in 1903 under the Metropolitan of Serres and Nigritis Grigoriou. The church was a wooden three-aisled basilica with a hipped roof and a vaulted entrance with windows in the narthex. On the south side of the church, where the well with the holy agiasma is kept, a shelter was built for the abbot. Dorotheou (1924-1945). His tomb is located on the north side of the church together with those and other abbots of the Monastery. The newest temple (30.30X19.60X23 height) was erected in 1971. It is a three-aisled cruciform basilica with a dome. The wood-carved iconostasis (15.15X4) was created in 1988.
