The Monastery of the Holy Cross is built high on a hill, with a panoramic view of the plain and the town of Serres, in a green landscape. It is located approximately fifteen (15) km from the city, in the Community of Ag. Spirit, on the slopes of Menoiki mountain. Until 1985, the monastery remained without nuns, while the confraternity that exists today brought it to its current form. Inside the main church, two chapels also operate at the same time. The hagiographies are modern, except for four icons, which are 100 years old. Divine Liturgy is held every Sunday. There are also two mansions in which the nuns serve the pilgrims of the monastery, while there is also an exhibition of works which are the works of the nuns. The possibility of hosting believers is not provided because only two hostels operate, who serve the needs of the Brothers. It celebrates on September 14, in memory of the elevation of the Holy Cross.
