It was founded in 1753 and is located in a position with a panoramic view of Voio. The Monastery had an important action in the national struggles.
In the Monastery there is also the miraculous icon of the Virgin of Eleusis, made mainly of silver.
On the 15th of August, during the Panagiri festival, the custom of pilgrims on horseback is revived, who start with their saddled horses from the nearby Siatista to worship the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary.
