The women's Old Calendar Monastery of Panagia Axion Esti is located northeast of Mount Pangaio, at an altitude of 350 m, near the village of Nikisiani. A large part of the monastery is built inside a rock. Its construction dates back to the middle of the 20th century. On the site of the Monastery you can see the vaulted church of Panagia Axion Esti, a two-story building that houses the cells of the monks as well as a temple carved into the rock. The Monastery celebrates Easter Monday
