It is the monastery where the nun Pelagia, later Agia, saw a vision of the Virgin Mary that led her to the spot where the miraculous icon of the Evangelistria was located. The nun's cell is preserved to this day, it is eight kilometers from Chora and dominates the top of the mountain. On July 23, the famous festival of Agia Pelagia takes place in the monastery.
