It is a women's Conovian Monastery located southeast of Parikia, in the location of Thapsana. It was built in 1936 under the abbot of Logovarda, Filotheos Zervakos, on the ruins of the 16th century Monastery of Ypapantis of the Lord, which was the Metohi of the New Monastery of Chios. In 1670, the old Monastery was renovated (based on an inscription). The current Monastery, dedicated to Panagia Myrtidiotissa, has been completely renovated. It is of the fortress type with walls and a high tower (bell tower). Inside, in the center of the large courtyard is the church, while two-story buildings with arches grow around the perimeter, the church of Agios Nektarios and next to it the tomb of Father Philotheos. About 40 nuns live in the Monastery. It is celebrated on February 2 (The Epiphany of Jesus), on September 24 (Panagia Myrtidiotissa) and on May 8 (falling asleep of Father Philotheus).
