The monastery of Agios Anargyros in Paros was built between the 9th and 11th centuries on the ruins of an ancient temple, which was dedicated to Asclepius. It is one of the most characteristic examples of Byzantine architecture and has an important library. It is located in a pine forest with an amazing view, while the visitor has the opportunity to cool off from its springs, which gush out healing waters, but also to participate in the festival that is organized every year, July 1st.
