The Monastery of Agios Ioannis Chrysostomos is located on the mountain of Grotta on the north-eastern side of Chora, at a distance of only 3 km. from the Country. The main building dates from the 17th century. and was renovated in the 18th century, where the monastery took its current form. The icon of Agios Ioannis located in the monastery was painted in 1818. From the Monastery the panoramic view of the sea and Naxos is unique.
