The Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi Sgouradon is located 26 km northeast of the city of Corfu, in a quiet location and surrounded by olive groves. In this place there was originally a chapel of the Holy Church of Theotokos Evangelistrias Sgourades. This small church of Saint Paraskevi, which belonged to 22 founders of the community, was granted in 1883 to 2 nuns from whom Theodosia Sgouros, who was also the first Abbess of the hermitage, erected the current Catholic Church, with the marble Temple (1906).
Small pieces of holy relics are kept in the Holy Monastery.
The I. Monastery celebrates on July 26, the memory of Agia Paraskevi.
