The I. Church of Pantokratoros (today's Catholic Church of the Monastery) functioned since 1634 and from 1881 it was a member of the I. Monastery of Paleokastritis.
In 1978 it was renovated from the ground up, chapels were built and new buildings were added, so it became an official women's monastery. Small relics of many saints are kept in the monastery. The Holy Monastery celebrates on August 6, the feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
