The Holy Monastery of Agios Panteleimon is located on the top of Mount Ypsario, at an altitude of 770 m above the village of Kazaviti. It is a women's Monastery that belongs administratively to the Kavala Metropolis. Here the miraculous icon of Saint Panteleimon was found and then the church was built in 1843. It functioned as a Hermitage until 1987 when it was converted into a Congregational Women's Monastery. The temple, made of mountain stone, has a wooden roof covered with slate slabs. Next to the temple is the cave where the healer Agios Panteleimonas is said to have passed. A two-story building (hostel, cells), courtyard, storerooms and various auxiliary spaces can be seen in the monastery area. The Monastery celebrates on July 27.
