The Monastery is built west of the settlement of Symi, on the slope of Mount Vigla, in the location of Vrysi. It was named after the natural spring with cold water that is kept in the place. The former Monastery is walled on one side and includes a small temple of Zoodochos or Zoiforos Pigi (about 7X3 m.) with a sloping roof and a private building, which probably served as a guest house. The monastery does not function nowadays. The church operates occasionally and celebrates the Friday of Epiphany.
