It is located on the eastern side of the island, about 24 km. away from the city of Rhodes, in the area of the Afandos Municipal Apartment. The reconstruction of the Monastery began in 1988. The founder and founder is the current Professor, Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne Seraphim Parcharidis. It was named "Paramythia" after the miraculous Icon of the same name of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, a faithful copy of which is kept in the Catholic of the Holy Monastery. The foundation of the Monastery took place on September 10, 1988, while the opening of the catholicon took place on November 12, 1994 by the blessed Metropolitan of Rhodes, Mr. Apostolos. Later, a second, larger Catholic Church was built outside the Holy Monastery's precinct, dedicated to the Synaxis of the All-Great Taxiarches, which was inaugurated on May 28, 2005 by the Metropolitan of Rhodes, Mr. Kyrillos. The Holy Monastery celebrates on the 21st of January (Synaxis of the Virgin of Paramythia) and on the 8th of November (Synthesis of All-Great Brigaders). In the inner precinct there is the chapel of Saint Anthony the Great and in the Cemetery the chapel of Saint Panteleimon. Seven monks live in the Monastery, and it has five registered ones.
