South-west of the island, near the village of Theologos, is the women's Monastery of Panagia Pantanassi. The founder of the Monastery is Father Seraphim Parcharidis, abbot of the Monastery of Panagia Paramythia. It received the name "Pantanassa" from the homonymous icon of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi. It was built on land owned by Mich. Boniati. The construction of the building complex began in 1995 with the temple, the bell tower, the chapel of Agia Irini of Chrysovalanto, three cells, the kitchen, various areas (candle shop, hagiography, tailor shop...etc.) and was completed in 2003 with the construction of the dining room for the pilgrims. On the south-west side, in the courtyard of the monastery, there is the belfry (8 m. high) with an arched base on which rest 2 smaller domes, which house a manual bell.
