The Monastery of the Metamorfosis of Sotiros is located near the Petaloudes area, 2 km southeast of the Maritsa pine forest. It dates back to the 17th century and was recently renovated. The church is single-aisled, cruciform with a blind dome, stone-built with a tile coating on the dome and roof. Inside there is a small wood-carved iconostasis and to the right of the iconostasis fragments of a fresco are preserved. In the arch of the northern wall, the two-line inscription of 1689 is preserved, "TO THE SERVANT OF THE GOD CINNAMON AND THE PARENTS AND SYMBIOSIS OF THIS AND THE SON OF THIS GEORGE". Next to the monastery, the cells of the monks can be seen, while in the courtyard there are facilities (wooden benches) for visitors. The Monastery celebrates with a big festival on August 6.
