The Monastery is located at a distance of 15 km from Rhodes, on the mountain of the Franks, west of the village of Kalythies (CALATIES), and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary Eleousa or Fileusplachni. The temple is single-aisled and has a sloping roof with tiles. The wood-carved iconostasis and fragments of frescoes in the narthex dating from 1781 have been preserved. The precinct is dominated by a tall belfry with a square arched base and a manual bell. The Monastery is currently in ruins and houses 1 elderly monk.
