The church (former Monastery) of Agios Panteleimons is located 2 km from Chora, on the opposite side of the acropolis of Paleokastro (or Paliogastro), near the small church of Agios Georgios "Ftochoulaki". It is a fortified complex that includes the temple of Agios Panteleimon and ruins, probably of the Middle Byzantine era, which have not been officially identified. There is no information about the foundation of the Monastery and the temple. The church is single-roomed, arched, with a small wooden iconostasis and still works today. It is celebrated on July 27, the feast day of the Saint.
