This is an old-calendar women's monastery. The monastery area includes the temple, the monks' cells and 2 entrances. The first entrance has a belfry, while the second has an arched opening with a dome. The church of Agia Sophia, built on a hill, is of the Aegean type, single-aisled and vaulted. The interior features a white marble altarpiece while the ceiling is decorated with a starry sky.
