Ro Island is located on the southwest side of Kastellorizos. It was called Ro, as a paraphrase of its old name, which, as mentioned in the ancient sources, was Rogi or Ropi.
The island became widely known by the Lady of Ro, Despoina Achladiotis, the Greek woman who lived on the island and raised the Greek flag every day, for 40 years, until her death in 1982.
On the islet is the small chapel of Agios Georgios , as well as the tomb of Kyra, who was buried there, as she herself wanted.
On the island, visitors go by boat to the small port of Ai Giorgi, to honor the great Greek woman, but also to swim in the very beautiful beaches.
