Dimitsana is a historic village in the Peloponnese and the capital of the Gortynia district of the Prefecture of Arcadia.
It is built on a hill at an altitude of 950 meters, from the south side of which there is a wonderful view of the plains of Megalopolis and Taygetus.
Its history begins in Homeric times, when the small Arcadian city of Teuthis stood in its place.
