Higher than the port, and at a distance of 2 km. is the chora of Ios. Picturesque and white, it is built amphitheatrically on the hill, at the top of which the beautiful chruch of the island can be seen, Panagia Gremiotissa. The view from there is panoramic.
The whole village spilled at her feet in front. To the right the port, to the left the windmills, and opposite the neighboring islands of Sikinos and Santorini.
When the weather allows it, Crete stands out far in the background.
