At the edge of the village of Psychro (48 km E. of Heraklion, 52 km W. of Agios Nikolaos), the ascent to the cave begins, where, according to mythology, Zeus was born. Dikteo Andros was a place of worship. Excavations here have revealed very important archaeological findings. From the village to the entrance of the cave you will go up on foot or with animals, rented by the locals. The descent into the evocative cave requires special care. Stalagmites in various shapes adorn the entire cave.
